About Longleaf Lumber

 
Longleaf Lumber is a premier New England lumber mill, primarily milling reclaimed wood salvaged from industrial, agricultural, and large residential buildings throughout the Eastern United States. We also mill wood species sourced from domestic, sustainably managed forests.
 
Longleaf Lumber mills flooring, paneling, stair treads, and other fine reclaimed wood products. In addition to wood, we also retail other green building products such as cork flooring and paneling. Our strength lies in our custom, personalized approach to every order and our high-quality milling, often to particular specifications for individual orders.
 
Established and based in Somerville, MA in 1997, our mill has since moved to Berwick, ME, and our retail warehouse to Cambridge, MA. We have showrooms in both locations where we can meet with customers. Our Berwick, Maine showroom is available by appointment, and a quick call can set that up.
 

Awards

ARE Design Award

Longleaf Lumber’s reclaimed Factory Maple flooring has been awarded a 2016 Association of Retail Environments (ARE) prize for best retail flooring. This prestigious international award was presented to architect Bergmeyer Associates, Inc. The flooring is installed in a Plainville, MA bookstore called ‘An Unlikely Story,’ owned by author Jeff Kinney and family. The design team used reclaimed wood as a key component in their creation of this warm, inviting, and sustainable space.

Longleaf Lumber is proud to be featured on Houzz and to have been awarded their ‘Best of Houzz’ design awards for several years.

Pine Cone Award

Longleaf Lumber is proud to have been honored with the 2015 Maine Wood Products Association Pine Cone Award. The award is given annually to Maine businesses that show innovation, growth, success, and leadership in various sectors of the wood products manufacturing industry.
